The
problem with most adhesive backed stuff used in high heat environments though,
is that eventually the adhesive dries out and the material falls off. I've
seen this happen with the aluminum tape quite often.

Bob,
You can also use adhesive backed aluminum tape.
It is sold in any home improvement store (Home Depot).
It's inexpensive and no messy chemicals.
