Re: [FlyRotary] Re: Oil question
Hi Kelly, I have the original Cosmo injectors and they were overhauled before I installed them.
My engine starts right away and I don’t have symptoms of flooding. I’m suspecting the engine has only about an hour on it and maybe the seals are not broken in? I shut down the engine by cutting the fuel pump to relieve the pressure somewhat. One day I make the changes to your bypass setup.

Bulent,
Are your injectors the Cosmo original or new ones ?? If the original ones
there is the possibility that they are leaking down from residual fuel pressure
of the system after shutdown.......Leaky injectors are common problem with
high mileage rotarys and cause flooded starts.......In my RX7 I provided a
.020 oriface between pressure line and return line to bleed pressure to the
tank on shutdown.......This has also been suggested to purge a vaporlock
or air from fuel lines after running a tank dry.......Our fuel pumps have excess
capacity and the small pressure loss from the oriface is easily accomadated..
