Tommy,
I would first use voltmeter to check that you are getting 12 volts
from the firewall contactor to the starter when you make the first try
at starting. You probably will need help with this unless you can rig
the meter into the cockpit for safety. If voltage gets to starter and
it does not engage, the next suspect is the solenoid (contactor)on the
starter. IMHO
