Do it all the time, Rusty.  Got tired of taking the cowl off and on for viewers, so just decided to leave it home.  Get a good view of the engine compartment while flying and absolutely no cooling problems {:>).  Does knock off some on top speed, I can just bearly make 220 MPH with the cowl off. (Its not April yet, is it?)

Attached is a recent photo (March 12 2005) when I visited Tracy Crook and we flew to the Leeward Ranch Flyin.  Cowls OFF!

Hey Ed,

Are you saying you flew over there with the top cowl off, as in the picture?  If so, that's great, I can chuck this PITA in the dumpster :-)

Cheers,
Rusty (just kidding... maybe)
