If your engine is assembled, then I don't think you could locate the hole with enough certainty as to not breach the water passage. There is very little margin for error. So, this is really something you would want to do while the engine is apart. Hi Mark, Did the original graph come from Mazda, or was it generated somewhere else? Also, did they measure exactly the same spot, or do you know where they measured the temp. I've got all 4 CHT inputs free on the EM-2, so I might look into at least monitoring the spark plug hole with one of those ring probes.
