-with a belly radiator (perhaps not such
a great idea, but too late now!) I have to run my exhaust out the side.
(no, this isn't a new oil pan up design)Unfortunately I can't run three straight
pipes out the side, damn! So, flame away. here's what I'm going to
try. Had Tracy not lagged behind me (that was NOT the plan Tracy,
remember? coattails!, your coattails!). I plan to well insulate parts of
the firewall and use spent oil cooler(not shown) air to further cool things
down.
-the other photo is why I decided to
spend my money on a welder, rather than on a welder. Tom does very nice
work. His welding hood has magnifying lens and he welds barehanded.
Well, that impresses me at least. His comment "do you want to fly behind
your first welding project?" kinda' hit home.(I did cut all the parts
however) My hands shake too much anyway. This is all 321 stainless,
except the flanges which are 304. I like how we went from 2 1/4" to 2
1/2". You take this big steel cone and a big hammer and whack it a few
times!
