Hi, Rusty.....thanks for the response....summit's fuel cell is OK as far as size. It appears to have only one inlet.....I also need an inlet for fuel returning from the fuel rail, and of course a vent line.  I may just make one out of fiberglass. That way, I can install aluminum hardpoints and tap them 1/8" NPT for inlets and outlets anywhere I want them.  Hope to come and see your project soon.  Paul

Hi Paul,

The Summit tanks have a cap on the top, which you clearly don’t need, or want, since they would vent fuel vapor to the cabin.  I would make a round plate to bolt on the flange in place of the cap, then install all the return/vent fittings you need in the plate.  Of course, as the true glutton for punishment that you must be, feel free to make one out of fiberglass :-)

You’re certainly welcome to visit any time we can arrange it.  My current plan is to keep the plane at home in Navarre, until I get the engine running fairly well, then move it to the hanger in Milton.  The only thing that stands between me and a running engine, is plumbing and wiring.  Those should go pretty quickly now that the big ugly cowl is finished.  Of course I’ll need Tracy’s new EM-2 as well.  If all goes well, I hope to be at the airport for final assembly by then end of July.
