Whoa, don't get me in trouble with Tracy.  I was referring to the engine mounting plate, not the PSRU plate.  I'm sure there is extra weight in his solid plate, but I don't have the knowledge to modify it.  Much of the engine mount plate is simply a shim.  That is what I was cutting away.  Then I removed some pocket areas ahead and behind a line drawn across the front engine mount bolts.  I can't remove the oil pan because the engine is upside down right now and would fall off, but most of the area inside the pan has been chopped out except a curving cross piece between the rear engine mount bolts.  The oil pickup prevents a straight shot as with the front set.
