You might find that an agent that knows you combined with the 'RV' = in the plane's name can get you coverage at a reasonable price by=20 calling the right underwriter & pleading your case. Charlie ----------------- Thanks, but I've never owned (and probably never will) a factory plane. = This is my third homebuilt, the last one being an RV-8 that I built and flew = for 2 years. I had that plane insured with NationAir, at a good rate, no claims, etc. Unfortunately, when I bought the RV-3, and announced my intentions to use a rotary engine, NationAir said there was no way they could cover it. Realize that I had an active policy with them at the = time for the RV-8, and they STILL wouldn't consider it. This was all = discussed on the RV list, so you could look up their statements in the archives. = Of course things change, and they may even be able to offer it now, but I probably won't call them. I called Falcon today, and they said they would be able to offer = coverage, and told me an agent would call me back as soon as they got off the = phone. That was about 10 hours ago. Must be a long call :-)=20 I also called SkySmith, and they seem like the right people to be = talking to. They said they would be able to offer anything from liability only, = to full coverage, and they're getting me quotes for liability only.=20 Cheers, Rusty =20
