I'm in the process of welding the fittings into the fuel tank. Also where is the best place to return the fuel?, do you return it to the top or bottom of the tank? The fuel outlet on the Tailwind is in the center bottom, with the tank located behind the control panel. Thanks JohnD {I'm not Ed, but I thought I'd toss in what I know about fuel returns in experimentals..... all of the Lancairs that are fuel injected do utilize fuel returns. They all use 1/4" AL tubing that dump into the top of the tanks to keep the weight of the fuel in the tank from inducing back-pressure into the return line. All Lancairs that use wing tanks only return the unused fuel to the then-selected tank through the fuel selector valve. I hope this helps. ]
