Here are a couple of photos taken at Sun & Fun of the LAEV prop blades and
Hub. Blades are 72" long and quite wide at the cord. They are designed to
take the power of a 250 HP engine. Paul Lamar fostered the idea and it took
resonance with a number of folks. The blade parameters were determined by
Bill Freeman and the blades built by Perry Mick. Butch Diaz machined the
hub. All of it appears to be top notch workmanship.
Awaiting runs on a test stand to stress considerably beyond what it would
likely face in use. Should be tested sometimes this year. I do not have
any further details.
