Yes, Ian, I seem to get more than my fair share - makes me wonder about
that at times. I agree that a longer prop would absorb the power and give
me even better take off and climb performance. However, I am hoping that
the LAEV variable pitch prop might become a reality. I saw the hub and
blades and our Sun & Fun 2003 fly in and it looks promissing. They are now
trying to rig up a test stand to stress it. Perhaps before the end of this
year it might be ready for flying.
In the meantime, guess I'll have to back off the power on those cool
mornings so as not to stall the prop.
