Hi folks,
Just finished reading an article about how the aero engineers thought they had a laminar flow wing on the P-51. They now think it's thrust created by the exhaust of the belly scoop. They were thinking along the lines of how this thread is going. Thier method was to build a thick exchanger to make the air go slower and then neck down the
scoop to limit the amount of incoming air and let the rest slide off the sides of the scoop. I think it worked.
