A while back, I mentioned a
strange cooling idea that I had, and never gave any more info. Well, here
it is. The idea was to come up with a heat exchanger that had a low
frontal area, and could be built to whatever shape was available.
As a test, I built a small flat plate radiator, and tested it against
one of Ed's old evap cores. The results were interesting, and I'm
sure it could be made to work, but the weight, and leakage potential made
me give it up for now.
Attached is one picture of
the test rad before I riveted it together. Also, there's a word doc
with my test info. Again, this is just for your amusement
