John (lets talk about Rusty while his power's out)

Power's not out (permanently) yet, but the screen room just crashed down in an
impressive manner.  I got some of it on video.

Hey Guy's
As I'm off at school, and using their server to recieve my regular e-mail
but don't have sending ability unless I use web mail (but really supposed to
be studying), I've just been lurking. However I wanted to pass on my best
wishes for all those riding out this hurricane.
I know this is a little late, but in response to Rusty's question about
tiedowns inside the hangar, Why not get a Hilti drill and insert some threaded
anchor sockets into the concrete. These are flush with the surface so won't
create a tripping hazard or other problem, then when you need to tie down
(like now), you can thread an eye bolt into the floor and secure your plane.
You'd have to have compressed air or a puffer of some sort to clean the dirt
out of the holes if they are seldom used. They are extremely strong so pulling
them out is not a concern. I have several of these on the floor of my shop and
use them occasionally. This may limit the damage if the hanger blows apart.
Best of luck to all you hurricane wranglers

Todd Bartrim   (probably going to snow soon :-)
