I'm gearing up to put a 13b on an RV7A, and am in the process or rebuilding my engine. First question is porting my 6 port. I was thinking of street porting the side housings before I send them out to be lapped. Is that the right method and where is the best place to get port templates applicable to aircraft use? Secondly I want to build my own composite prop, for now mainly to use it on a test stand.. Any RV prop builders out there that can help me out with legnth/ pitch 2 or 3 blades? also I got the demo version of Prop Optimizer, but I can't figure the DOS program out. Need some help with design. Lastly can someone send me the dimensions of the RV7 or RV8 engine mounting points, my plans don't give the dimensions of the mounting bolts to the firewall. I'm gonna weld up a mount for the run-up stand and I'd like to get it as close to the RV mount as possible, and maybe I'll only have to make one! Thanks in advance Pem Walton RV7A someday.
