Message
Greetings,
As I mentioned a couple
messages ago, I was having second thoughts about using the EWP. As it
turns out, it will cause me more installation trouble than it's worth, since I
have nowhere else to mount the alternator. I still think it will work, but
so will the stock water pump, so I'm taking the path of least resistance and
ditching the EWP. Fortunately, Summit Racing has a great return policy, so
I shipped it back today.
I'm now looking at that
tall thermostat cover housing, and wondering what the best way to cut that down
would be. Can this cast aluminum be welded? I have a
picture of the one that Tommy has, but I'd like to see some other
options. Anyone have pics? If they're large, you can send
them offline to keep from killing the list, though I'm sure others would like to
see them also.
The other thing I'm looking
for is the adjustment arm for the alternator, the long arm with the slotted
hole. I checked my junk box, and couldn't find one. If someone
has one to spare, I'll certainly make a suitable contribution to your
project :-)
Thanks,
Rusty (not a
naysayer)
