   Jake Ore is an A&P/IA and his helpers include 3 college students, 2 of
which are studying aviation related topics working toward their A&P the
other studying computer science.  The one other shop worker is a composites
expert, having been in charge of the autoclave for Northrup during the B-2
program.  He's the best body man I've ever seen.  The guy can fabricate
ANYTHING.  San Diego isn't cheap either and the guys working on my plane are
all experienced in composite airplanes, not "cheap labor".
   Jake Ore's former partner was Mark Mahnke, who we all know is now the
head of Lancair's builder's workshop
   I know the bay area is expensive, but to the tune of nearly twice as
much?  I'm sure AirCrafters does a great job and is every bit as qualified
to build Lancairs as is the shop I'm using.  But if I had to pay those
rates, I would never have bought my plane.
