Interesting idea but remember to consider that the temperature of the
operating environment of the scat tubing may be comparable to the
temperature required to shrink the heat-shrink tubing. If so any support or
stiffness will be lost during operation. Typically standard PVC heat shrink
has an operating range of -4F to 220F.
