If the pump needs to be shut down for any reason how does one do it without shutting down the whole electrical system via the master switch. In my case I have deleted the header tank and the pump occupies space on the right hand firewall above the feet of the passenger. I looked at locating the circuit breaker on the panel but do not want a noisy wire to and from the pump running in that area. My next idea is to have a normally closed 50 amp relay between the pump and its supply and only to energize it in the event the pump needs to be shut down. Bosch makes just that sort of relay. Any other ideas anyone? I believe it is essential to have a means of shutting down such a heavy power user in case its operating contactors failed in the closed position or a pressure switch failed and commanded the motor to run or a leak developed. One could go on and on!
