I think it's true that temps can be lowered by insulating the "cold" sceet
ducts from the lower cowl heat and radiation from the exhaust system.  In
addition, I have been looking for a way to prevent the wire in scat and
sceet from cutting into adjacent touching systems.  Yes, they should never
touch but that may not be true in my world, imperfect as it is.  And as
tightly packed as the firewall area of the IV-P is.
I have seen the wire in scat/sceet cut into an engine mount and require its
removal for repair.  More than once, by the by.  It's cheap insurance.
Tywraps break under hot conditions especially and all the prevention in the
world can be foiled quickly by a very hard spring steel scat/sceet wire
combined with engine vibration.
