Mine started doing the same thing ("burping" every 10 seconds or so upon retraction) after about 500 hours of flawless operation. Having been told that I need to send my pump to Oildyne for a modification (addition of a high -pressure relief circuit) and deciding that getting the damn thing out to send in was going to be a real hassle, I decided to try manually releasing the high pressure when the thing started pulsing. I now routinely momentarily crack the dump valve if the system starts pulsing and all is well. The pulsing stops, the gear stays neatly tucked in the wells, and I don't have to fight the pump out of the airplane. No other aspect of the gear operation is affected. Should the system operation deteriorate further, I will do the right thing and send the pump in, but not as long as it's working as I've described. In it's present state, I can live quite happily with it.
