Brent, That pressure bulkhead is the only way into the back of the airplane
if you ever need to do any serious work in the gearbox area. Admittedly this
is not a common occurrence, and you'll probably sell the plane before ever
attempting this a second time (it appears to be kinda like operating on your
lower body through your mouth!). If you have to do this, you could cut out
the pressure bulkhead and replace it to work in the area, but for future
maintainability, in addition to the reasons you are already considering, I'd
go to the extra trouble to bolt it in. My 2 cents...
