The two crab angles will only be equal in magnitude if the wind is perpendicular
to your 180-360 tracks.
If you record ground speed on three different tracks(perpendicular makes it more
accurate)you can use a lot of trig to extract the wind direction and speed and
with that your true airspeed.  To avoid all the trig, go to the following web
site which has an applet for computing the wind component.
