J N Cameron writes

"The likely problem with getting proper alignment and gaps between the
elevators and HStab on the ES is that the fast-build HStabs come out of the
factory jigs asymmetrical.  They were that way on my first ES delivered Dec,
'96), and in spite of a fairly voluminous correspondence with the factory
about the problems that caused, the HStab on my second (delivered Mar, '00)
was exactly the same."

Nawww!  I can't believe that the factory has known about this major screw up
and hasn't fixed it yet!

Are you sure?  You mean they actually knew about this for four or five years,
and they continued to ship  the same crappy parts to their customers?

If this is true, and from the amount of complaints about it just yesterday,
it sure sounds true, then one would wonder what other major screw ups the
factory knows about, and is not fixing?  Could some of these be
safety-related issues?

Nawww, it can't be true.  I mean, five years, and they haven't fixed it?
Hard to comprehend.

Well, look at all the new designs they have done--so what if a few little
glitches are still around on past designs--I mean there are only so many
hours in a day, and everyone is busy creating new designs....

And, what the heck, what's important about a lop-sided horizontal stabilizer
or two, and a few hundred hours of every builder's time...
There are only so many hours in the day.
