.....what do you expect? It's called the lancair fast buck (fast build) kit.
From experience (LIVs) I can say give me the old stock standard kit with
absolutely nothing done.

A litany of woes:  fast build wings where the wing curve is not even a close
match to laser cut profiles. Shear box installation where the port wing has
0.3 degrees more angle of attack than the stbd. Elevator spars mis-aligned
by nearly half an inch. Gear door hinge mounts not straight. These are just
a few things off memory. I can honestly say from experience that it has
taken longer to do the remedial work than it would have taken to do all the
fast build work properly in the first place.

Having said that with perseverance it's possible to overcome all such
problems.
