I hate to see someone flamed. He was referring to not
caring about TAS. I bet he uses IAS speeds for take off, glide and such..

need an AOA to do that. infact I'll extend my neck out and say
if I had to pick between an airspeed indicator or AOA, I'd take the AOA
and not have any speed source... (oh boy, I can see the "how do you
time approaches" coming already) but this isn't part of the TAS thread
and a GPS time to missed approach is better than that egg timer..

if we must flame the author it should be for mach overspeed
in compressed air.. but there is good margin for that..
(unless you loose a window and are trying to get lower too hard :-)

in his defense, TAS is "just" used to compare how big our second
head is when talking to others, (GPS is for flight planning)
