My airplane is one of the test beds for the 2 screen SFS, and I have indeed made approaches to touchdown under the hood (with a safety pilot of course) at Arlington airport, WA. Arlington's height above touchdown is uniquely accurate for my system, in that at 10' above the runway on the SFS AGL indicator, the airplane is 10' above the runway. 300 fpm descent rate over the threshold gives a smooth touchdown in the middle of the runway. Don't try this without first experimenting down to 200', then 100', then 50'. I have the newest version of SFS (3.1 D) and canyon flying is breathtaking. Imagine taking a tour of the beautiful Olympic mountains at terrain level. Have fun!!!
