WOT would be 38.5:" or more. Settings of 31.5" and 2500 rpm is 75% power, at ROP. I use the mixture control as George suggests, ease it right back to 15 gph at my 65% power setting, which is 2400rpm 29". This gives me 58% power, and a speed penalty of 20 kts TAS (from 300 down to 280). Small price to pay. Range is increased to 1400 NM, from 1150. Engine runs smooth down to 15 gph, below that it starts to complain, ( GamiJectors are installed). If I set up 58% power as shown above, then increase MAP to 31.5", the engine also starts to complain. Don't need the extra MAP for speed or pressurization, so why push it? Hope this helps you guys out there with IV-P's. Use LOP, but keep it at the low end of MAP. 58% power is all you need with this fast laminar flow wing. Save the 75% power stuff for one hour "speed"demonstrations to your friends. And pete's sake, take the Gami lean test from the internet, and install Gami's. George will give you a good deal since you are "experimental".
