Per George Braly's comments re: my O-235 and it's poor induction system
balance: I agree, George. This is the same engine (well, nearly so) as far
as the induction system si concerned as used on the C-152 and P- Tomahawk
and any one who has taken instruction in either of those airplanes must
remember instructor's words to lean till the onset of engine roughness, then
richen till smooth. OK with that great big metal propeller/flywheel on those
airplanes, but with my relatively light-weight MT prop, going too lean means
sudden quiet. So I'll keep it on the ROP side and live with it (play on
words fully intended). Besides, with an O-235, the fuel burn isn't an issue
anyway.
