This is the same engine (well, nearly so) as far as the induction system si concerned as used on the C-152 and P- Tomahawk and any one who has taken instruction in either of those airplanes must remember instructor's words to lean till the onset of engine roughness, then richen till smooth. OK with that great big metal propeller/flywheel on those airplanes, but with my relatively light-weight MT prop, going too lean means sudden quiet. So I'll keep it on the ROP side and live with it (play on words fully intended). Besides, with an O-235, the fuel burn isn't an issue anyway.
