I too have the wider 200 hp engine. But before you go and make those VERY
large bulges on the lower cowl, you should consider the impact they will
have on the speed of the airplane. I have over 200 hp with my engine, and
also the those big bulges. At this point in my flying, I believe I have one
of the more powerful 360's, and probably the SLOWEST due to all the bumps
and bulges. I am sure that over time I will be able to get some of the
speed back, but for now, it is embarassing.
I am not sure how much of my speed loss is due to the intake runner bulges,
but... you may want to consider modifying the intake runners before you
bulge the cowl.
