I'm having really good luck with these pressures. If I'm operating at gross weight, I'll up the pressures to 45 and 35, but most of the time I'm flying solo or at light weights, so 40 & 30 work well. Using the recommendation of a couple of other Lancair owners I operated the first set of tires at 30 in the mains and 20 in the nose, the idea being that there would be no nosewheel shimmy and the landings would be softer (compensate for the stiff gear), but these lasted only 100 landings. The main tire tubes pooped out - too much wall flexing resulting in cracking and leaks, and the nose tire scalloped on the edges. With 40 and 30 (or 45 & 35) my tires are giving excellent service - about 200 landings. Could probably get more out of them, but as soon as the tread starts to disappear I like to change them.
