Look at it this way: If I set up 2400 rpm and 29," then lean to 15 gph, and
then push the MAP up to 32, then lean again to 15 gph, the engine will run
rough. Sure, higher MAP will give higher power, but my GAMI's have a limit.  
I find on my engine that 2400/29" and 15 GPH gives me 1400 NM range at 277  
KTAS. This seems clear to me. ( I think)
