Walter, what it you build a shelf at the water line level over the hydraulic
pump etc back to the next bulkhead? That’s how I’ve handled it and I find
my 185 skis will fit. I can simply lay them in there – they hang over the
bulkhead that is approximately at the position of the beginning of the
vertical stab fiberglass, but it looks like it’ll work pretty well and I can
use this space for other lightweight objects as well. Right now, the top
half of fuselage is unattached, but it’s been tried out with the top in
place.
There are two access panels in the shelf; one for the 10 CD changer and the
other is for quick access to the ELT.
