This post is aimed at subscribers to the LML who are using AOL 6.0 as their primary email software.  I understand that the 6.0 version of the AOL software is supposed to be the latest and greatest.  This may be, but it has come to my attention that the ability to configure it to send emails in the plain-text mode is next to impossible.  As outlined in the LML's List Posting Guidelines, all posts sent to the LML must be sent in plain-text mode only, and therein lies the rub.  Many of you have been sending your posts to the LML after a considerable period of time using the forerunner to AOL 6.0 and have not had any problems at all with the plain text requirement.  The switch to 6.0 does not retain that particular preference, however, as in their infinite wisdom AOL has taken it upon themselves to dictate just what your email "preferences" will be, and that is for all of your email to be sent with styled text and HTML formatting.  Somehow that seems to contradict the basic definition of the word "preference", but that is a different matter entirely <G>.

At any rate, if you are using AOL 6.0 and you wish to submit a post to the LML _AND_ you have been as unsuccessful as everyone else at getting it to send emails in plain-text, please don't send it to the regular LML email address.  Instead, please send your LML postings directly to me at marvkaye@olsusa.com and I will remove all the garbage and resubmit them on your behalf.  This is really no big deal for me to do, AAMOF, it is far simpler and requires several less steps for me to reformat and resend an email than it is to go through the required routine when dealing with it on the listserver.  Treat it just as you would any other LML email (ie, use the "subject" box the same as always), just include the phrase "For LML" as a separate line at the beginning of the body of the post so I know its intended routing and I'll handle the rest.  Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly (make that _GREATLY!_) appreciated.  TIA......
