A little confused here on your post. I operate my engine LOP for range, and
to keep the temps low. Increasing MAP up to 36" at 15 GPH is *NOT* my idea of
operating at LOP for efficiency. 29" MAP gives me 15GPH, increasing MAP will,
of course, result in a higher fuel flow, which decreases my range. I only
lose 20 KTS TAS by running 58% power (I know very well how to calculate HP).
Occasionally I'll bump the HP up to 75% to impress somebody, to demonstrate
305 KTS TAS. Lots of fun!!!

Tony Durizzi
