In either case, the choice of terminals on the controller leaves a set HOT, & unprotected electrically. I found out the hard way when a piece of baggage with a large metal clasp grounded the unused terminals, (no rubber cap) and OH JOY smoke in the cockpit, Shut off the mastr switch and went through switch by switch to find the culprit with no further problems.
