The following invitation was sent today to many in the aviation community.
On behalf of American Engine LLC I'd like to extend that invitation to
anyone on the Lancair List.
<<Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Curtis Longo and I am the
Chief Engineer of Aerodynamics and Propulsion Integration for the aircraft
engine company, American Engine LLC (AELLC). The investors of AELLC, along
with the Chief Engineer of Propulsion, Darrell Buehl, and myself would like
to invite all of you to the first open house of the AELLC Product
Development Center in Ontario, California on Wednesday, May 9th, 2001.
Though some of you may have already seen the AELLC Eagle 540 on static
display at Oshkosh, this will be your first opportunity to see the
production engine in operation. Please review our web site
http://americanengine.com for a general description of the development
program. Specifications for the engine can be found at
http://americanengine.com/upgrading.htm Those attending the open house will
be given a technical overview of the engine and airframe development program
along with a tour of the facility. In addition to nearly 100 hours of
operation in our test cell, the first production engine has completed over
40 hours of flight testing in a modified Lancair IVP aircraft.
We look forward to seeing you on May 9th.
Best Regards,
Curtis M. Longo, AELLC >>
