As I continued on it began to register a 2 and then a 3 and finally a 4 (on a scale of 9). I descended to 12,500 and depressurized with no success in influencing the readings. I even turned my heater on to see if that would inflence the readings. I deflated the door seal and still no success in improving the readings until after landing I popped the door open while taxiing and saw the readings drop down to 1 but no lower. The next morning on departure immediately after start up it registered 9 which raised my suspicions. It registered 9 all the way home. On landing I removed the unit and placed it in my car on the way home and it continued to register 9 all the way home. The only reason I share this is that something else to think about in the decision making process is a spurious reading. PS Incidentally, on the night landing in El Paso I was instructed to follow an MD-80 to 22. After the MD 80 landed he informed tower that he had just run over a "small" rabbit on his roll out. Tower offered me 26L which I readily accepted recalling others who have broken their nose strut pin from hitting even small bumps on the runway. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
