I think the rudder pedal comments from both Chris Zavatson and Bill Rumburg
apply to an earlier style pedal assembly. With my adjustable pedals, the
cables connect directly to the firewall, then move aft through an S shaped
tube attached to each pedal and from there,go directly back to the rudder.

Angier -

After I commented on the smoothness of operation of my dual rudder
installation, Chris mentioned "adjustable" rudder pedals and it crossed
my mind that that, plus right side brakes, may be the reason others
have encountered stiff and unacceptable operation with their dual
rudder installations.
I installed the "ground" adjustable rudder pedals shown in the
construction manual and have very smooth and problem-free operation.
I'm 5'10 and on the two or three occasions when others have sat
in the left seat, they seemed to find rudder/brake pedal settings to
be at least acceptable (They're lucky to have sat there !!)
Lancair may not like this, but I question whether the "quick-adjust"
pedals are worth the expense or problems.
