I am trying to decide the type compass to install in my L-360. A compass
mounted IN the panel or a compass mounted on TOP of the panel. Magnetic
interference will be an issue either way, but I'd really like to mount the
compass IN the panel. Are there any "gotchas" I should consider here?
Everything in the panel is electric. Is one spot - for example near radios
and the VM-1000 better than near switches and circuit breakers? Is there a
method available to shield the compass?
Anyone have the S.I.R.S. panel mounted compass?
Thanks,
Doug
