   I strongly recommend you contact Lancair on this one.  While either of
your fixes would probably work, the factory guys may know some reason none
of us on the list know of to do it one way or the other.  Have you talked to
Carsten or Mark about this?  I'm sure they'll either have an answer for you
or be able to get one.
   When I did my brackets, there was flox or some other kind of build up on
the edges of the slots the brackets fit into that I had to grind out for
everything to fit, but the holes were aligned OK once I did that.  Also, I'm
sure this is a dumb question, but have you verified that you have the
brackets facing the right direction?  With the wings upside down in the
cradles, sometimes it's easy to confuse things (not that I've ever done it
myself)!
