I had Don Gordon's problem with my sequence valves early on. First
indications were that they were not being pushed fully to the outer stop by
(what I assume is) the inner spring, thereby allowing some leakage,
resulting in the cylinder seeing some pressure when it shouldn't.

My solution, which has worked well for nearly 600 hours of airframe time, is
to add a small coil spring to aid the valve's extension. An appropriately
sized countersink washer (I believe they're called Tinnerman Washers) was
installed under the adjusting screw head with the spring captured between
the washer and the valve body. Problem solved!

Doesn't take much of a spring and now that the valve is well broken in, they
could probably come off - but since they aren't doing any harm, and the
alternative isn't very pretty, I'll just leave well enough alone.
