>On the subject of prop strikes in the 320/360
I have had 2.
The first was caused by a down solenoid not working. I could lift the
gear but not lower them with power. At the time, I did not have the
experience to know that I could fly the plane as slow as 62 mph. I
keep it above 120 mph as I had been taught. At this speed the
emergency extension would not lock the nose gear in place.
The second was caused by the mechanic, at annual inspection time, not
placing the seat bottoms in their forward catches. A slight slipping
forward, without me noticing it, caused the stick to not go back all
of the way. When I pulled the throttle back on final. I did not have
enough up elevator to arrest the decent. This caused the front fork
to bend, jammed the gear up on go around and a subsequent nose gear
up landing.
