The process has been going, shall we say, less than smoothly. Hopefully I get some help from your experience. >> Joe, I recommend you maintain the leading edge as straight and true as possible. It's easy to see any discrepancy in the finished project and difficult to correct. If you haven't already trimmed off the end of the wing, just don't slide the tip all the way on to the edge of the joggle, and fill the remaining gap with micro, or micro/flox mix, as required. The more difficult alignment for us was setting the "toe in" of the vertical section of the wingtips. One wingtip was almost perfectly aligned when the leading edges were aligned; the other required some heating and twisting. We studied this problem for a couple of months before deciding to "just do it." In the end, both winglets came out as symetrical and accurate as we could measure--beginner's luck I assure you. In any case, our experience to date indicates that once you are through this, building is very simple and straightforward--until you get to the door. Bob Pastusek PS: I have the template in question, slightly used, and could send it along if you'd like. I think it's main purpose was to remove excess material to allow the winglet to close better at the trailing edge. Probably not absolutely required, but helpful. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
