While I am not affiliated with the factory in any way, I am in possession
of the complete library of Service Bulletins which have been issued by it
since the first one came out on March 1, 1990 (SB001-90), and note that in
total there have been 43 separate SB's, the last of which was issued during
May of this year (SB043-0598).  This last SB covered nose gear struts for
all models, but not the over-center links.  I am only reporting this fact
to put the minds of all you IV and IV-P builders and fliers at ease in that
you haven't missed a SB which covered these parts.  Should the factory
decide to issue a SB in this regard I'll be sure to announce it here as
soon as I'm made aware of it.

Needless to say, if any of you have further information regarding this
modification, including items like associated affected hardware (thank you,
David Jones!), installation considerations, inspection criteria, or
anything else you can think of, please be sure to pass it along as soon as
you are able.  Safety related issues such as this should be top priority,
as anything that may prevent untoward incidents from occurring will most
certainly go a long way to helping keep the insurance situation from
getting any worse than it already is, and, more importantly, will insure
that no one gets hurt or has their airplane sustain damage that might
otherwise have been prevented.
