To Gary
Yes, I will be landing on allot of grass strips,
or add least one grass strip allot, the one behind
my house.
Your stall speed of 58 knots is the lowest I've heard
of so far, but it is still 8 knots over the advertised
speed.
One of the primary reasons I bought an ES is its
advertised stall speed, which puts me in sort of a
dilemma.
No one as commented on my flap strake idea, but more
important to me is that no one has advised against it, so
I'm going for it and I'll see what happens.
I've primed the bottoms of my wings with UV Smooth prime
and sanded it already, but have decided to wait a year
before I completely finish it out to see if shrinks. I
ordered some WLS primer yesterday to do the rest of the
plane, so I will be able to give a report on the results
in about a year.
