I first flew it in sep. 1991.won best home built in California airshow in 1992.I put about 70 hrs on it,and moved to Prescott AZ.,where I sold it to a person who had to have it. He dropped it in very hard on landing,driving the gear up through the wing and damaged the under side back to the rear spar. (this was a very experianced pilot who said he did not need a check out) lesson here? Any way I bought it back from him and repaired it.I replaced the gear with outback gear, replaced the bottom butterfly section and rear spar.I removed the header tank and extended fuel capacity in wings,changed the canopy to hinge forward,moved the battery up front where header tank was,moved hydraulic pump up from behind rear bulkhead to behind copilot seat,put fuel selector in right,and left.I never really cared much for transfering fuel to header tank. Not one drop of fuel leaked out from any of the tanks after the accedent.Says a lot for the strength off this tipe of construction.( Had this been a spam can, it would have been in the recicle ben. Avioncs are NARCO 12D,NARCO DME, TRANSPONDER,INCODER,NSD 360 HSI ESCORT 11 S TEC 40 AUTO PILOT VISION MICRO SYSTEMS ENGINE INST.APPOLO 2001 GPS, AIRCRAFT IS IFR CERTIFIED. The engine was completly torn down by engine shop on field,no damage. Prop.and hub replaced (constant speed}. 360 has 110 hrs tt a/c & eng. I am in the process of building a Lancair ES, so I have not flown the 360 much,although I try to fly it at least every couple of weaks,not good to let them sit The portion of the plane that was repaired is still unpainted and im selling it as is.
