Brent Whiting,
Thanks for the helpful info! I have a couple of follow-up questions
regarding your post:
Item 1) Would a pilot friend be worth bringing along as an assistant even
though he has no building experience, or would he just get in the way?
Item 2) Thanks for this tip as I'm thinking that the main benefit of the
"builder assist" is to finish the wings to avoid having to build the
associated jigs and preclude many alignment issues/woes. I assume that you
did indeed finish the wings? As such, what items/accessories does one need
to think about in advance, e.g., fuel probes, extended tanks, wing tip
lighting/wiring, fuel filler neck grounding, etc, etc?
Item 3) Do you have to take your kit with you (i.e., rental Ryder truck) or
do you still have the option to have it and the completed parts shipped?
Item 4) Yes, I'd be interested in seeing your photos!
I assume that there were plenty of Lancair folks available to help guide you
through the week so that you achieved as much as possible?
Thanks in advance,
Dana Westphal
